Field trips for school children, scouts, churches or any group of kids interested in wildlife. We will spend an hour sitting outside as a group, learning about individual species and having some hands on time with the resident critters such as our Bobcat, python, skunk, tortoise and who ever else has come to live with us. Then we will tour the grounds and pet Amy the sica doe, Kiara the Cougar and see the animals who roam free here. We finish off with a visit into the new wildlife clinic, the 'heart' of Wild Heart Ranch, where all the sick, orphaned and injured recover, heal and grow. We will explain the process of wildlife rehabilitation and show visitors some of our growing and healing wild neighbors. With quiet voices and gentle hands, we can teach without disturbing the purpose of our work.
To finish the visit, picnic tables are available to munch a lunch while various animals beg for handouts.
We are located at 10491 S 4190 Road in Claremore, Oklahoma.
We offer guided tours by appointment only. Please call (918) 342-WILD (9453) to schedule an appointment.
We strongly recommend printing these HAND WRITTEN DIRECTIONS.
